Web Client Feature Requests was created by Lyanic
I'm starting this thread for tracking of feature requests for the web client. My outstanding requests are primarily for more protocol support (msdp, mxp, msp, xterm256, etc), but I'll also probably have more requests specific to the scripting/plugin modules once you open those up for usage and contributions.

Others can feel free to suggest changes to the client in this thread. However, I'd like to say this: Even in its basic state right now, your web client is already the most responsive and most aesthetically pleasing web client I've ever tried to play a MUD on.

I tried to activate mccp on my mud, but it failed.

My fault or client's fault ?

Something is wrong with a link as well is shows like this:
" target="_blank">www.mudconnect.com/mud-bin/vote_rank.cgi?mud=Arcane+Nites |

the " target="_blank"> comes from the client or a bad formatting from my side ?

(oh and the cient disconnected when I clicked on it)

ATM, the Websocket proxy doesn't support MCCP for proxy <-> host communications, so it won't try to negotiate it. It's a to-do. For proxy-to-user, compression is on.

I took a quick look at the link but I had no luck so far. Part of the problem is I have to create a character to get to the MOTD. At what point do you save new characters?

I save character right after they connect. Then you can use the command motd to display the problem as many times as you want.

Is it possible to make posting not default into being notified by e-mail of replies? Maybe an account config option for that?

Also, is there an easy place to check which threads you're subscribed to?

Default is now for subscription box to be unchecked.

You can manage your subscriptions from a tab under your user profile.

I'd like to request that you can press 'up' on your keyboard when your command line is blank and be able to scroll through your command history. Probably the last 50 or so commands would be good to have.

I'd also love to be able to type the first few letters of a command, press up, and have it search/recall the most recent 'like' message in the command history.

Thank you for considering!

Warm regards,
Kinaed

Two more requests:

- echo-off from the game hides command line entry and eliminates it from the buffer for passwords
- spell checker
- ability to log or download the buffer to file

None of these features was especially difficult.

Spell checker has to be turned on in the Game Center Settings tab for a given listing or game profile. The default value is off.
