I wrote a help file in notepad, then attempted to enter it into the Mud Portal command line. Unfortunately, the command line mushed all of the lines together (Example file attached, using Google Chrome Version 32.0.1700.107 m). Can we get the command line to read carriage returns, then insert multi-line commands, line by line, with a few milli-seconds delay so as not to throw a disconnect?

This would mimic the standard behavior of Zmud, MUSH Client, and others and is important for builders, staff members, player crafters, etc. Pretty much anyone writing descriptions or large blocks of text into a game online editor would probably want their own line entries in the command line to be preserved.

Might also be nice if the command line expanded to display the size of its contents to a max of 10 or so lines with a scroll bar.

Try the new multi-line input button at the end of the single-line input field.

I don't know if the delay would be enough to prevent disconnects from your particular server. It's currently 100ms, so about 10 lines per sec.
