Optional Realities & Project Redshift

Hey,

I am here to let you know about Optional Realities, a text-based RPG community. It will be a community that is similar to this one but for all roleplay centric games. It will be a place where we will hopefully be able to come together as staffers, players, and first time newbies to promote our genre and educate each other. What's all that mean?

1) There will be regular articles written not only by the OptionalRealities team but staff of prominent roleplay games such as Sindome, Evolution of Esos, Shadows of Isildur, HavenRPG, and others.

2) There will be a forum with a moderation policy very similar to this one

3) There will be an active community staff of experienced game designers willing to discuss ideas with players and even new game designers hoping to design their own games.

4) There will be monthly contests with cash prizes ranging from storytelling to game proposals and even best log.

A community is only as relevant as its users and so to that end I invite you all to come and post if you feel like, read if you don't want to post, and if you don't want to do other than at least check out our connections page that links to several roleplay games that might interest you (and have been discussed on this forum at varying lengths).

Completely forgot to include Project Redshift! This is a sci-fi text-based game based in the future and around space exploration. It is currently in development and will be released sometime in 2016 or 2017. We are using the very powerful (and wonderful) Evennia engine to produce the game.

Promote your game when you're about to release or when you've already released and are running an active community. Players do not remain players forever and even those that played Armageddon or Shadows of Isildur or Harshlands for a decade or more will eventually leave your game for real life commitments or a new experience. We all need to bring new players into the genre if we have to have players at all in the future.

Bit tangential, but what happened to your website? I seem to recall there being many more articles.
